Celebrating two decades since the historic enlargement of the European Union, this film reflects on what has changed for people across Europe. From issues of politics and philosophy to ecology and art, the film asks us to see beauty in everyday life and reminds us of the life stories that bridge borders, echoing Sonia’s vision of resilience and community.
While exploring the everyday hopes, dreams, and resilience of contemporary Europeans, the film shows how these people just like anyone else dream of family, friends, love, travel, and fulfilling careers. For Sonia, one of the film heroes, a young Ukrainian who fled to Poland during the early days of the war, these dreams also carry the weight of survival. A journalism student and finalist in the "Inspired by Europe" youth photo contest, Sonia captures the daily fight for a “normal life” amidst unimaginable challenges, holding onto joy in small, precious moments.
Experience the struggles, triumphs, and cultural evolution that have shaped our shared European journey. Don’t miss this chance to explore how the extraordinary lives fit into our 'ordinary'.
