On 13th of September University of Latvia (UL) hosted Student day, where first-year students from all faculties could learn about the possibilities of this university.

The Culture Center team launched their stand with a very important first guest - Rector of University of Latvia, Professor Gundars Bērziņš.

The Culture Center of the University of Latvia, as part of the organizing team, provided consultations on artistic groups, as well as local and international projects such as Project CAMINO and Universities for Culture, explaining to students the opportunities offered by the Culture Center and its partners. They also implemented various culturally enriched games, that helped to attract those students who weren't sure they wanted to join an artistic group, like the wheel of fortune, that contained both winning sections and sections with various questions. Here are some of the examples:

- what ir Project CAMINO?

- "To be or not to be" - can you name the author and title of the play?

- Do you reckon there were more singers or dancers at the previous Nationwide Latvian Song and Dance Celebration?

As part of the Culture Center's program there was the International Student Photo Exhibition of 11 winning photographs that had travelled all the way from Brussles. The infameous "Ode to Joy" flashmob video series was also showcased! If you haven't seen them yet, head over to our YouTube channel here
